Family Values: FSC Certification Validates
Generations of Sound Forest Stewardship

Anderson-Tully Worldwide is the sales and marketing agent for two companies with a combined total of approximately 500,000
acres of timberland certified in accordance to the Forest Stewardship Council standards.

Anderson-Tully Lumber Company earned FSC certification in 2000, and Louisiana Hardwood Products, formerly the hardwood division of RoyOMartin Company, received FSC certification in 2002. Both companies also hold FSC chain-of-custody certification of their manufacturing operations. Based in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Anderson-Tully Lumber Company operates one of the largest hardwood sawmill complexes in North America and is the largest producer of hardwoods in the United States, holding FSC certification.

The FSC is an international non-profit organization founded in 1993. To be certified in accordance to their standards, a forest operation must be audited by an accredited, independent, third-party organization to determine whether that operation meets the internationally agreed-upon FSC Principles and Criteria. SmartWood, an independent FSC-accredited certifier, conducted the audits of both Anderson-Tully Lumber Company and Louisiana Hardwood Products. SmartWood is a program of the Rainforest Alliance, a nonprofit conservation group that has been a pioneer in the fields of forestry and agricultural certification.

As the parent company of Anderson-Tully Lumber Company and Louisiana Hardwood Products, The Forestland Group named Anderson-Tully Worldwide as exclusive sales and marketing agent for the two because of its innovation and leadership in developing markets for SmartWood-certified hardwoods and its skill in marketing alternative hardwood species. The Forestland Group of Chapel Hill, NC, was the first timberland investment management organization in the world to earn FSC certification of its entire portfolio, which stretches into 20 states, Canada and Central America.
